Two people remain in intensive care following in a fire in a Superior apartment on Tuesday afternoon.
CASSELTON, N.D.—What a milestone for the little squirrels at Central Cass school. 100 days! Time flies. But at least one student went above and beyond to celebrate. In Heather Gleave's Central Cass kindergarten room, it was all about the 100th day of school on Wednesday, Feb. 1. Even the kids even felt like royalty. "I have your crowns ready for you," Gleave said. Some kids brought 100 skittles, others 100 rocks or even bandaids. In the halls, they were shooting for 100 acts of kindness.
Two men are in jail and a 28-year-old victim remained in a Duluth hospital Sunday after a Saturday night shooting downtown, the Duluth Police Department said in a news release. Police responded to the area of First Avenue East and First Street at 8:43 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 on a report of a shooting. They arrived to find the victim having been shot in the abdomen; his condition was unknown by police, who declined to release his name to the News Tribune.
CLOQUET, Minn. — Carlton County authorities identified Emma Loven on Sunday as the victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash last week on an icy county highway near Cloquet. The 11-year-old Esko, Minn., girl died at the scene Friday morning on Carlton County Highway 3, also known as Carlton Road, near the intersection with Minnesota Highway 45.
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- A 4-year-old girl and a 34-year-old man were rescued from Lake Ida about 10 miles north of Alexandria after the Arctic Cat utility vehicle they were in ice went through the ice in about 7 feet of water. The Douglas County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call about noon from Matthew Hawkins who witnessed the utility vehicle go through the ice on the north end of Lake Ida, near Big Horn Bay Resort.
Specifically, police have seen an uptick in reports of fake bills with "Motion Picture Use Only" printed on them.
