EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — A Fall Creek man is accused of killing his sister and her boyfriend last month and burying their bodies at his residence. The couple was apparently shot in the woman's vehicle a week before the bodies were found, and drugs are believed to be a factor in the shootings, authorities said. Wayne W. Price, 46, was charged Monday, Oct. 9, in Eau Claire County Court with two felony counts each of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse, and a felony count of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — A retired Altoona police officer faces the prospect of up to 40 years in prison after an Eau Claire County jury found him guilty Wednesday, Aug. 9, of felony first-degree sexual assault of a child younger than 13. And that concerns Jeffrey J. Anger's attorney, Harry Hertel of Eau Claire. For a 60-year-old former police officer, "the prospect of a prison sentence is difficult and extremely dangerous," Hertel said following the jury verdict.
