Onwudiegwu, Pedraines double winners at Track-O-Rama

The 45th annual 5th-grade Track-O-Rama took place Thursday at UW-Superior’s Lydia Theiring Fieldhouse.

While there were no records set during the event, Northern Lights continued it dominance in the Tug-O-War with its 12th consecutive win and 14th win in the past 15 years. The only blemish during the win streak was Cooper’s victory in 2006.

There were two double winners in the event.

For the boys, Kamsi Onwudiegwu of Northern Lights won the 50-yard dash and teamed with Odin Nadel, Fjeordi Johnson and Kenny Asp to win the 800-relay.

On the girls side Kayla Pedraines of Northern Lights won the 50-yard dash and teamed with Mallory Buttrick, Nora Leppien and Mia Seay on the winning 800 relay.

TRACK TIPS: There have actually only been 43 Track-O-Ramas, the event was rained out in 1985 and 1991.
