Former Superior Spartan Mike Sislo was recalled by the New Jersey Devils last week and played in wins over the Ottawa Senators and Dallas Stars.

Sislo, who has one assist in 26 career NHL games, made his first NHL appearance since Dec. 31, 2014 at Detroit.

Sislo leads Albany (AHL) in scoring with 23 points in 28 games. His team-high 13 goals include nine on the power play.

In the Devils’ 3-0 win over Ottawa on Dec. 30, Sislo registered a team-high/career-best five shots on goal in 12 minutes of action.

On Saturday the Devils defeated the Stars 3-2 in overtime with Sislo registering two shots on goal while playing 10:35.

The Devils, who are back in a playoff position after a three-game winning streak, went for a sweep of the season series with Detroit when they hosted the Red Wings on Monday.

New Jersey also knocked off the Western Conference-leading Dallas Stars 3-2 in overtime Saturday to improve to 4-1-1 in its last six games.

The Devils play at Montreal Wednesday, host Boston Friday and play at Minnesota at 7 p.m. Sunday.

The game with the Wild will be televised locally  on NBCSN.

DEVILS DATA: New Jersey LW Kyle Palmieri returned Saturday after taking a maintenance day during the Devils’ practice on Friday. … LW Mike Cammalleri, the team’s leading scorer, was out Saturday with an upper-body injury. He is tops on the team with 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists). “He just had a little bit of an issue with it,” coach John Hynes said. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow. It’s day to day.”
