SHS girls lose at Duluth Denfeld

The Superior High School girls basketball team wrapped up its regular season with a 65-60 loss to the Duluth Denfeld Hunters Friday night in Duluth.

Natalie Olson led the Spartans with 22 points. Mackenzie Kmecik added 14 points and Alyssa Correll had 11.

Superior also got six points from Morgan Nordby, five from Elizabeth Kolanczyk and two from Malley O’Brien.

Up next for Superior is a WIAA Division 1 regional game at D.C. Everest on Friday, Feb. 27. The Spartans are the No. 8 seed and the Evergreens are No. 1.
