Four in a row for Spartan boys

The Superior High School boys basketball team made it four wins a row with a 39-38 non-conference win over Grand Rapids Thursday night in the SHS gym.

Jake Libal scored 17 points and Carter Anderson added 14 for the Spartans, now 7-12 on the season.

Grand Rapids (14-8) was led by Alex Illikainen’s 21 points.

Superior led 20-16 at the half, but were outscored 22-19 in the second.

The Spartans, who led 20-16 at the half, play at Rice Lake at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and host Duluth Denfeld at 5:45 p.m. Friday.
