Jessica Lindstrom scored 35 points and grabbed 23 rebounds to lead the Superior High School girls basketball team past Esko 74-54 in nonconference action Monday night in Esko.

The Spartans, who led 38-26 at the half, also got 13 points from Hailey Kontny and 11 from Alyssa Correll.

Esko (14-3) was paced by Judy Wagemaker’s 17 points.

“I was happy with the way our team responded to Esko’s pressure in the second half,” SHS coach Phil Roe said. “It was a good win in a tough environment and against a good Esko program.”

Superior (14-2) hosts Ashland at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

“Our challenge is to get better each week heading into playoffs,” Roe said. “We have quite a few things to work on to continue to get better until March, but I like the progress my team is making.”
