SHS boys pick up first win

The Superior High School boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 57-50 come-from-behind victory over Chippewa Falls Tuesday night in the SHS gym.

The Spartans, now 1-3 on the season, trailed the Cardinals 27-21 at the half.

Xavier Patterson led Superior with 20 points. Mason Ackley was next with 12 points and Ben Rhodes had 11, which included three 3-pointers.

Tyler Robarge led the Cardinals with 18 points.

Superior, which played at Menomonie Thursday night, will compete in the Shawano Sun Drop Shootout next week at the Kress Center in Green Bay.

The Spartans play Menasha at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday and Green Bay Notre Dame at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
