University of Iowa junior Megan Gustafson has been named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week.
Gustafson has earned conference recognition in each of the first six weeks of the season. The weekly award is the 12th of her career.
Gustafson registered 26 points, 10 rebounds (six offensive), and shot 73.3 percent (11-for-15) from the field to lead the Hawkeyes past in-state rival Northern Iowa on Dec. 17. It marked her 11th double-double of the season and the 38th of her career. Gustafson has now scored 20 or more points six times this season.
The Port Wing native has now earned six straight conference honors. She was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Nov. 13 and Dec. 4, and was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll on Nov. 20, Nov. 27, and Dec. 11.
