Trickle down delivers for billionaires
It is time for the Republican Party to payback the billionaire donors.
Over the last election cycle, the $80 billion Koch brothers spent well over $100 million on nationwide GOP campaigns. The GOP controls Congress, the Senate and the presidency. Congressman Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Senator Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., are ready to deliver for billionaire Trump no matter what the cost to the national debt.
The economy is doing very well with record corporate profits. That is not enough for corporate billionaires. They want more. Billionaires do not want their estates taxed when they die. They made billions off U.S. taxpayers; why not pay a percentage back to Uncle Sam when they die?
There is another downside to the giveaway. Our national debt is nearing $21 trillion and middle-class wages have not enjoyed increased wages since the Reagan and Bush "trickle down tax programs." The Trump trickle down tax program promises the same while adding another $1.5 trillion to the national debt.
Trickle down III locks in massive tax breaks to the top 10 percent while giving the middle class a kiss and a promise. The billionaire con man will not show his taxes or how the tax giveaway helps him.
If the top 10 percent own 80 percent of the national wealth, should they not also pay 80 percent of the nation's taxes and debt?
