Cheryl Lee Schimpf

Cheryl Lee Schimpf

Cheryl passed away peacefully at 2:05 a.m. Jan. 19, 2018, at Wissota Health in Chippewa Falls, at age 62, after a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong Wisconsin resident, lived in rural Superior in the Pattison Park area, and was born Cheryl Lee Gustafson, March 4, 1955.

Her husband, John; son, Jonathan, and brother, Richard Gustafson were with her on the 18th, day, evening, and into the early hours of the 19th.

We wish to thank her Pastor, Rich Blood, who spent many hours that day and evening with Cheryl when she most needed his support, love, and assurance. We also wish to thank the entire congregation of Country Peace Presbyterian for their unswerving love and dedication. The many visits, prayers, and correspondence were, and are, greatly appreciated.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, John; son, Jonathan; her brother, Richard Gustafson and his son, Michael, nephew, Sharon Gustafson, and also two nieces, Tammy Doane, with two daughers, and Tanya Doane, with two sons and two daughters. Her brother-in-law, George L. Schimpf, resides in California with his wife Ximena, and their son, Esteban, also of California.

2014 seems so long ago, but we would be remiss in not thanking the Pattison Park Lions Club again for the fundraising dinner.

Cheryl was preceded in passing by her parents, Adrian and Mary Gustafson; sister, Audrey, sister, Connie Doane and her husband, Thomas Doane; one brother, James; one niece, Leah Gustafson, and sister-in-law, Sarah Gustafson.

Visitation: one hour prior to noon service Saturday, Feb. 10th, at Country Peace Presbyterian Church on County Rd. A.
