Hazel L. During
Hazel Luella (Earhart) During, went to heaven at age 95 on November 6, 2017. She died at home, with her family by her side, after losing her battle with Alzheimer's. Hazel was born on November 12, 1921 in Superior, Wisconsin to Eva (Allard) Earhart and William L. Earhart. She married Theodore (Ted) Andre During on August 19, 1945. She worked at National T, Great Northern Railroad, and Holzberg-Hawkins Laundry throughout her career. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, going to church, and socializing with family and friends.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; siblings, George Earhart, Lorraine (Earhart) Williams, William Earhart, Agnes Bernice (Earhart) Elewaut and special companion, Elmer Anderson.
Hazel is survived by her five children, Sandra Nelson, Susan (Joe) Hudacek, Randy (Judy) During, Terry During and Rosalie (Chuck) Duede; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Donald) Doolittle, Dawn (Dennis) Tolan, Christopher During, Jeremy During, Rachel Duede, Jillian (Tili) Gjoshi and Andy During; eight great-grandchildren, Shaye Doolittle, Danyelle Tolan, Emily Gottwald, Isaac During, Darren Tolan, Alex During, Nicholas During and Madison Marshall; one great-great-grandchild, Maverick Murrell and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Assumption Catholic Church in Superior, WI. Hazel's nephew, Reverend Father Thomas Elewaut will celebrate the Mass, Reverend Father Ron Olson will concelebrate.
A luncheon will be served in the parish hall immediately following the Mass.
The committal will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, after the luncheon.
