Natalie L. Turner

Natalie L. Turner, 17, Chetek, WI resident, died alongside her mother, Brenda L. Turner on Friday, October 27, 2017 at their home. She was born on April 21, 2000 in Duluth, MN to Michael and Brenda (Eckard) Turner.

Natalie was an honor student senior at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School in Chetek, WI and she was employed with the Badger State Whitetail Adventures.

She was a very active member of many clubs, organizations and sports. She was a writer and editor for the yearbook, president of SADD/SMART, Freshman Mentor Program in which she mentored 3 select freshman, student council where she served as treasurer, leader of the bulletin board/float committee, homecoming fundraiser and dress up day committees, she wrote formal requests to be approved by the school board and aided in decorating and setting up of events. She also was a member of the National Honor Society serving as charities director in which she would help schedule Meals on Wheels and the National Society of High School Scholars where she enjoyed community service projects. Natalie was a member of the dance team serving as captain, co-caption and junior poms coach, track and power lifting teams. Natalie loved hunting and fishing with her boyfriend, Lachlan. The two of them also spent countless hours working out together in the gym as they chased their powerlifting dreams. They were very competitive with each other no matter if it was in the gym, boat or hunting blind.

Natalie is survived by one brother, Kyle (Brette) Venier, Poplar, WI; two sisters, Briana Venier, Chetek, WI and Mikala Turner, Barron, WI; maternal grandfather, Ted Eckard; paternal grandfather, Norbert Turner; many aunts, uncles and cousins and one niece and one nephew, Brylee and Skyler Venier. Natalie will also be missed by her loyal dog August, whom she loved so much.

In addition to her mother Brenda, she is preceded in death by her father Michael Turner, maternal grandmother Jackie Eckard, paternal grandmother Joyce Campbell, cousin Christopher Turner and uncle Greg Turner.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2316 E. 4th Street, Superior and continue until the 2:00 PM memorial service with Rev. Fr. Adam Laski and Pastor Casey Carey of Victory Church in Waupaca, WI.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the outpouring of support to the many friends, faculty and staff of Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School and the entire community of Barron County and Chetek, WI.
