Maple man faces child porn charges in federal court
David Tjader, 43, of Maple is charged with three counts of receiving visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to the U.S. Attorney Western District Office in Madison.
The indictment alleges that he received the child pornography by email June 16 and July 2.
If convicted, Tjader faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison on each count.
The charges against him are the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Child Exploitation Task Force, Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Superior Police Department, Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department, West Allis Police Department and Milwaukee Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman is prosecuting the case.
