Learn more about STEM in 4-H
If your child likes to build things, use technology of do experiments, you won't want to miss an informational meeting on a new 4-H club forming in Douglas County.
The new club focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The meeting for the STEM-based club takes place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Youth Building at the Head of the Lakes fairgrounds, 4700 Tower Ave., Superior.
Any parents interested in enrolling their children or volunteering with the club are welcome. 4-H Youth Development is part of University of Wisconsin-Extension and serves youth 5- to 19-years-old. Annual membership is $5 for third grade and up, $3 for K-second graders. Youth can choose up to 10 projects to master per year and receive awards and money for items they enter in the county fair.
