The final day of the Lakeview Classic American Legion baseball tournament in Superior and Duluth was rained out on Sunday.

In Sunday morning’s semifinal game against Lakeview, the Reds were leading 6-5 at the end of four innings when it began raining and made the field unplayable.

The other semifinal game was between Cloquet and West Duluth. None of the games will be made up and no champion was declared.

After going through pool play with a 2-1 record, the Reds advanced to the semifinals with a 10-9 win over Fridley Saturday afternoon.

During pool play the Reds defeated Hermantown 10-0 and St. Francis 5-4 in eight innings Friday at Morrie Arnovich Field, then lost to Bloomington Blue 15-4 Saturday at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Lakeville went 3-0 through pool play, defeating Cambridge, 6-4; Bloomington, 6-4; and Hermantown.

Today’s Reds’ game with West Duluth has been cancelled.
