Workshop urges citizens to action
Community members in partnership with University of Wisconsin-Superior faculty, staff, students and alumni host the second annual Superior Citizens in Action workshop 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 24 on the first floor of Swenson Hall on the UWS campus.
This is a free public event focuses on energizing and promoting civic engagement and citizenship in Superior and northwest Wisconsin. Participants will have opportunities to hear from local organizations and meet with them about their needs for volunteers and other support.
Learn about the importance of election judges, practice communication skills and meet local elected officials to share your ideas and discuss issues of importance.
