Minecraft fans invited to party

Sue Heskin

It’s party time at the library. On Thursday, the Superior Public Library is throwing a special party for fans of Minecraft. All Minecraft fans are invited to join us at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room for games, crafts, food and fun. While we won’t be playing Minecraft at the party, you can still meet other Minecraft fans, talk about Minecraft and enjoy a free party especially for you. RSVP by emailing or calling 715-394-8867. We hope to see you there.

Did you know that yoga can improve flexibility, build muscle strength, improve posture, and reduce stress? Why not come to the free Gentle Yoga class in the library meeting room at 3 p.m. Aug. 12 and give it a try? Yoga instructor Kathleen Peippo will lead us through a series of simple yoga poses and relaxation techniques that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. This Gentle Yoga class is perfect for beginners and is a great opportunity to try yoga if you’ve never done it before. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or a large bath towel. This class is free, but register in advance by calling 715-394-8860 or emailing

Have you checked out our Summer Storytime? Even though summer is winding down, you still have plenty of chances to join us. Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. through Aug. 25, we welcome volunteer readers from Superior Kiwanis Club to read stories in the Children’s Room Storyboat.

We’re happy to announce that Lego Club will now be a weekly event. Every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., stop by the Children’s Room and create a masterpiece using the library’s Lego collection. All are welcome to join us each Monday and build something awesome.
