Dogs, brats benefit Shriners Hospital
The Northland councils of the Knights of Columbus will be hosting a fundraiser from May 9 through May 12, to raise funds for the Shriners Hospital in Minneapolis. The Knights of Columbus will be selling freshly grilled hot dogs and brats, chips and soda for only $2 and $3 at local Super One stores.
The Shiners Hospital, which enables children to receive live changing care at free or reduced cost for families, receives 100 percent of the money raised. Local Knights of Columbus chapters have raised more than $250,000 over the past 14 years.
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization that donates money to a number of national charitable organizations. Last year, 70 million hours was volunteered nationally. For information, contact the local chairman, Denny Krenner, at 218-729-7804.
