Superior man gets jail time for marijuana delivery

A Superior man will spend nine months in jail and three years on probation for selling marijuana.

In Douglas County Circuit Court on Friday, Marko John Garramone, 26, pleaded no contest to two counts of delivery of marijuana. Two additional counts were dismissed but read in for sentencing.

Judge Kelly Thimm sentenced Garramone to three years of probation and nine months in jail. Garramone was ordered to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation, maintain absolute sobriety, submit to random urinalysis and provide a DNA sample. He must also pay court costs and $125 restitution to the Superior Police Department.

Garramone also pleaded no contest to an unrelated charge of disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 30 days jail, concurrent.

According to the criminal complaint:

Garramone sold marijuana to an informant during police-monitored drug buys in August. The informant was brought to the home of Garramone’s source, located on North 18th Street near the University of Wisconsin-Superior. When a search warrant was executed at the home, more than 17 pounds of marijuana was discovered in a locked upstairs bedroom.

Danilo V. Polonia, 61, faces felony charges of deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver marijuana stemming from the search warrant. His next court appearance is set for May 19.
