Duluth man sentenced on drug charge

A Duluth man accused of selling bath salts will spend 130 days in jail.

Matthew Lee Olson, 33, pleaded guilty in Douglas County Circuit Court on July 10 to felony charges of possession with intent to deliver bath salts and possession of a controlled substance. Olson was sentenced to two years of probation and 130 days in jail for the controlled substance charge. He was ordered to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation and pay a fine of more than $1,200.

A deferred judgment of conviction was entered for the bath salts conviction. If Olson complies with probation and bail conditions through January 2017, the state will move to dismiss the charge.
