Duluth News Tribune

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 72-year-old Cook man, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported in a news release Tuesday.

David W. Quiser told a family member that he was going hunting early in the afternoon on Monday, authorities said.

Quiser left at about 1:30 p.m. and as of Tuesday morning had yet to return home. He was driving a tan 2002 Ford crew cab pickup with the license number 56ZJ.

Quiser told family members that he was going to hunt 10 miles northeast of Cook, in Beatty Township, in the area of County Road 24 and Holm Road. His family became concerned and called the Sheriff’s Office just after 10 p.m. Monday to report Quiser had not returned.

The St. Louis County Rescue Squad searched the area, but found no sign of Quiser. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to contact 911 if they have information about his whereabouts.
