Three face drug charges following Superior search
Three Superior residents faces felony drug charges after a search of a Linden Court residence; they made initial appearances Monday in Douglas County Circuit Court.
Kristy Lynn Johnson, 25, faces felony charges possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and deliver methamphetamine.
According to the criminal complaint:
Johnson was selling methamphetamine to an informant monitored by law enforcement in September. According to the informant, two young children were present.
Officers executed a search warrant at Johnson's home Oct. 13. In addition to Johnson, three men and two preschool-aged children were at the residence. The children were taken into protective custody.
Investigators located a loaded syringe and drug paraphernalia in the kitchen cabinet labeled "Kristy Only!"and baggies of methamphetamine in a cigarette pack and the sweatband of a hat.
Johnson told investigators she uses about a half gram of methamphetamine a day, but claimed she does not use around the children. She allegedly told an investigator she buys drugs to share with people, initially, but the investigator advised her they had video of her selling to an informant. The investigator told her sharing drugs or providing them to another person for free is the same criminal charge as selling the drugs. She said she would take responsibility for the syringe and other drug paraphernalia found in a cabinet.
Dustin Gregory Sandberg, 33, of Superior faces felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Sandberg is accused of possessing a baggie of methamphetamine that was found in a cigarette pack at the residence and a broken glass pipe in a cigarette pack found in a vehicle at the residence.
Travis Lee Sherman, 28, faces felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sherman allegedly admitted to investigators that a hat and smoking pipe found at the residence were his. A baggie containing methamphetamine was found inside the sweatband of the hat.
All three remained in custody at the Douglas County Jail Thursday. A $500 cash bond and $2,000 signature bond were ordered for Johnson. Cash bond of $1,000 was ordered for Sandberg. Sherman was being held without bail.
All three are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
