Decomposed body found in Duluth storm sewer
DULUTH, Minn -- Authorities on Thursday pulled a dead body from a storm sewer in Canal Park along Lake Superior.
Duluth police said the body was discovered around 1 p.m. by public works employees who were conducting routine maintenance at a public restroom facility.
Lt. Dan Chicos said the body was decomposed and would be sent to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in the Twin Cities for an autopsy to determine the identity and cause of death.
Police were on scene throughout the afternoon, initially labeling it as a “possible body.” They said an investigation was ongoing Thursday evening
