Authorities search for escaped Gordon Correctional Center inmate
A minimum-security inmate has escaped from the Gordon Correctional Center. Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find him.
The Department of Corrections released information Saturday night that Michael Brabbs had escaped from the minimum-security facility.
According to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report, Brabbs checked out at 6 p.m. Saturday to go fishing on prison property for an hour. When he failed to return on time, a perimeter check was done and he was not located.
Brabbs, 41, is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. Wisconsin court records indicate he was serving the end of a seven and a half year sentence for first degree recklessly endangering safety out of Brown County.
