A Lake Nebagamon man is in critical care at St. Luke's Hospital following a Friday ATV accident.
Darren Harvey, 44, suffered a serious brain injury in the one-vehicle accident, according to his CaringBridge website.
Harvey was driving his ATV on Wasgren Road just north of Third Street North when he lost control of the vehicle and drove right into the ditch, according to a Douglas County Sheriff's Department report. The Lake Nebagamon man was thrown from the ATV and transported via Gold Cross to St. Luke's.
A journal entry posted Monday indicates that some of the family's prayers are being answered, but more are needed. The family lists his condition as critical, but stable.
"We can't say how much it means to us to have all your love and support," the post reads.
As of Monday afternoon, the site had received more than 1,800 visits from friends and family and built up a dozen pages of comments in the guest book. The first glimpse visitors get of Harvey is a picture of him riding his ATV in the Lake Nebagamon parade.
