Three-day radiothon benefits children's health

Chris Allen and Jayson Michaels of Duluth/Superior's KAT Country 98.9 KTCO Kat Country Morning Show, along with Scott Hanson from 99.9 Radio USA host the fourth annual Country for Kids radiothon.

The event funds programs to treat children with disabilities and chronic conditions at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare through an affiliation with Children's Miracle Network.

The broadcast begins at 6 a.m. Jan. 24, and concludes at 3 p.m. Jan. 26.

During the three-day event, both radio stations simulcast their broadcasts from the Miller Hill Mall center court in Duluth. The live broadcast features stories from patients who receive treatment at Gillette, including Gillette's clinic in Duluth and through the Mobile Outreach program.

The Country for Kids radiothon also involves local businesses and area Children's Miracle Network supporters.
