Superior auxiliary offers scholarships for health-related students
St. Mary's Hospital-Superior Auxiliary scholarships are available for college students pursuing a health care-related degree.
Students must be in their second year or higher of in pursuing the degree to apply for the scholarships that range from $500 to $1,000 dollars.
Applicants must be a resident of Douglas County. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, high character and demonstrated leadership. Applicants are also reviewed with an emphasis on past and current volunteer activities. Consideration is also given to demonstrated financial need, academic record and commitment to caring for the sick and injured.
The deadline for applying online is March 1. Applications received without required attachments are deemed incomplete and will not be considered. Once recipients have been chosen, all scholarship applicants will be notified by email whether they will be awarded a scholarship or not.
