Golf tournament helps burn center
The 12th annual Minnesota Rural Electric Association Burn Center Golf Tournament donated more than $10,804 to the Miller-Dwan Foundation.
The money will be used to benefit the Essentia Health Miller-Dwan Burn Center. MREA has been instrumental in providing state-of-the-art education for clinicians and helping purchase a variety of specialty equipment for the Miller-Dwan Burn Center.
More than $80,000 has been donated since 2006.
The tournament, held July 28 in Becker, Minn., was created to provide relief for the families of burn victims and to support hospitals in providing the latest technology and treatments to ensure Minnesota power line workers and all community members receive the best burn care available.
Each year, staff from the Miller-Dwan Burn unit participate in the tournament.
