Mayors of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative (Cities Initiative) on Friday proposed a summit to launch a new collaborative relationship between the province, municipalities, and other local organizations to protect the St. Lawrence River.
The Department of Natural Resources’ recently announced ballast water discharge permit represents the best effort Wisconsin can make at this time to regulate ballast discharge, Senator Bob Jauch (D-Poplar) said.
