Since 2009, the United Way of Superior-Douglas County has been moving its organizational efforts to a business model known as Community Impact. The Community Impact model for United Ways gathers the collective efforts of individuals to advance the common good.
The following supplies are needed for the 2010 Stuff the Bus Campaign: Wide and narrow ruled notebooks, plain folders, pencils, pens, erasers, colored pencils, washable markers, crayons, scissors, washable glue sticks, glue, dry erase and permanent markers, yellow highlight markers, tape and rulers.
Eight teams are going to bat for the United Way on Friday. They will dust off their softball gloves and athletic shoes to raise money and awareness for the United Way of Superior-Douglas County. The roster for the first ever “Go to Bat for United Way Softball Tournament” includes high school students, beauticians, accountants and bartenders.
It’s time to step up to the plate and “Go to Bat” for United Way.
