Everyone at the Superior Public Library would like to wish you a very happy holiday season. For the Christmas holiday, the library is closed on Friday through Monday, but will be open regular hours — 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — on Dec. 31.
Libraries are tweeting, texting and launching smart-phone apps as they try to keep up with the biblio-techs — a computer-savvy class of people who consider card catalogs as vintage as typewriters. And they seem to be pulling it off.

Local author and educator, Linda Berg, will be giving a book talk and book signing for her newly published book, “The Kissing Pot,” in the large meeting room at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
Those of you who are keeping track of your reading for the Summer Reading and Teen Read programs, your reading logs are due on Saturday. Bailey the dog will be here to listen to young readers that day for ten minutes each from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the library classroom.

James Moors is an international performer and recording artist who calls Superior his home. Don’t miss his program in the library meeting room 2-3 p.m. July 28. He integrates music with movement, games, and storytelling.
Jacob Roeber’s Magic and Illusion Show comes to the library meeting room 2-3 p.m. Wednesday. Come, meet, enjoy and be awed by the talent of 16-year-old Roeber. He performs a 45-minute magic and illusion show suitable for the entire family. No registration needed for this free program.
