The St. Louis County Board recognized artist Carl Gawboy with the Board’s “Excellence in the Arts & Sciences” award on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The award is for those county residents who have excelled in the fields of arts and sciences. Gawboy was nominated by Second District County Commissioner Steve O’Neil.
So I’m experiencing a great deal of frustration right now, a frustration that grows out of things beyond my control. On Monday evening, Ksenia Lubyantseva will perform piano works by several classical composers. Currently, she studies piano at the Petrozavodsk Glazunov Conservatory in Duluth’s Russian sister city. Lubyantseva has performed in nine European countries and has won several piano competitions.
