The annual Friends of the Library Book Sale last week was a huge success. The Friends raised about $9,000, their highest amount so far. All proceeds from the sale go toward purchasing new books and other items for the library.
When the doors open for Free Comic Book Day — an annual event that's grown in stature from a few stores to some 2,000 worldwide — publishers and purveyors of tales of heroes and villains will court new readers who, despite the ease of digital displays, are making time for and spending money on comics printed on paper.
You won’t want to miss the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. This year’s sale will be bigger and better than ever. We have something for everyone, including many unique items in our bid room.
