Six-year-old Natalie Prochazka had an idea for a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life held earlier this month.
With a newly learned skill, she spent hours and hours making worry dolls to sell to raise money to help in the fight against cancer.
Every time Julie Nelson gives her clients a great new haircut, she’s also helping out a cause that’s dear to her heart. For each cut, she’s donating a quarter to the St. Mary’s Hospital of Superior Foundation.
March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, but I emphasize the value of colonoscopy screenings to my patients year-round. I have performed thousands of these procedures over the course of my career as a gastroenterologist with SMDC Health System. Each screening has the potential to help save a life.
