Jeanne Makela passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. with her loving family at her side. This ended her courageous battle with COPD since 1999, a double lung transplant in July of 2011 and eventual rejection of her lungs.
