To the Telegram: “The House budget is a moral sin and it is unpatriotic and we will not rest until politicians like Paul Ryan set it aside,” stated Sister Simone Campbell of the Network, a Catholic social justice organization. Several other groups have been speaking out about the Ryan Budget, written by Republican Congressman Paul Ryan of Janesville.

Members of the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 will kick off Memorial Day events by raising a flag in honor of all veterans at 9 a.m. today in front of the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center. The ceremony is open to the public. In addition, veterans can enjoy free admission to the center Saturday through Monday.
