Start of ABC Raceway season delayed to May 18
The snowy April that northern Wisconsin had recently struggled through has negated any access to the three-eighths-mile race facility located just south of Ashland. And now the freak winter storm that ushered in the month of May across the region added another eight to 10 inches of heavy, wet snow on top of the red-clay oval, making any chance of preparing the track surface — or any other part of the facility, for that matter — impossible for at least another week.
