LETTER: ‘Night Out’ midtown success
To the Telegram: National Night Out was successful in the midtown area last week. Nearly 100 people gathered to meet or reconnect with families in our neighborhood. Root beer floats, a kick-ball game until it was too dark to see, visits from local law enforcement, laughter and conversation made for an enjoyable evening for all.

Douglas County youth take flight to Japan
Stocked with post cards, children’s books, maple syrup and a few key phrases, local students Wednesday jetted to Japan. The Superior Sister City Student Delegation consists of 13 youth ages 14-18. They and will spend more than a week in Superior’s sister city, Ami-machi, living with host families and experiencing daily life in Japan.
