In serving his self-interests, as Tom Bridge’s letter March 19 suggested, Marty stood in firm opposition to mandatory lock box installation on business and rental units. The former fire chief made the remark at a past city council meeting: “If I had it my way every home and building in Superior would have a lock box [for emergency fireman keyed entry].” Only one city councilor said anything, while the others remained silent on the issue.
