Lowell A. Johnson, 81, of Superior, fell asleep into the arms of his Lord, after a lengthy illness Saturday, March 23, 2013.
He was born Dec. 5, 1931 in Superior to Oscar A. and Pearl E. Johnson. On Feb. 5, 1988, Lowell married Lynn A. Bolen.

Lowell loved hunting, fishing and Bible study. His faith in God was absolute. He enjoyed Blue Grass Music, especially the banjo. Lowell and Lynn traveled extensively together.
Lowell was very generous and took great pride in his home and family. He cherished his grandchildren and loved the Packers. Lowell liked to say “he was the only Johnson in Wisconsin.”
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lynn; a son, Gary of Astoria, Ore.; two step-sons, Craig (Kristin) Lambert of St. Louis Park, Minn. and Nathaniel (Melissa) Lambert of Rochester, Minn.; five grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Carolyn) of Calif. and two sisters, Barbara (Dr. Richard) Wallis of Monterey, Calif. and Caroline (Tom) Dunn of Baton Rouge, La.; two special “granddaughters”; and many other relatives and friends.
