Jean A. Carlson, 81, Superior, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.
Jean A. Carlson, 81, Superior, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in her home. She was born on Jan. 9, 1931, in Superior to Peter and Pauline (Beda) Potosky.
Jean loved to visit Mexico; loved to dance but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons, Scott (Michele) Carlson, Superior, Mark (Anne) Carlson, Lake Nebagamon, Todd (Sherrie) Carlson, Iron River, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Drs. Chad (Karen) Carlson, Amber (Kevin) Farley, Nathan (Jennifer) Gallagher, David Craft, Misty Sue (Jeremy) Francisco, Matthew Carlson, Jessica Carlson; nine great-grandchildren, Oliver Carlson, Benjamin and Tia Farley, Jack and Katie Gallagher, Deanna, Emma, Christian and Cullen Francisco; and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by a son David P. Carlson; her parents; six sisters, Margaret, Helen, Eleanor, Ann, Pauline and Mary; and one brother Joe.
Visitation begins at noon until the 1 p.m. memorial Mass on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, Superior, with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci, as celebrant.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

To Jean's family. I have known Jean for 40 years her and Dale are my Daughter Michel's godparents I just found out today about her passing.
