Geraldine "Gerry" Moller, 87, Poplar, Wis., died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Aug. 29, 1925, in Superior.
Geraldine "Gerry" Moller, 87, Poplar, Wis., died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Aug. 29, 1925, in Superior.
She graduated from the former Central High School.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Rockmont Homemakers Club.
Gerry had been employed in the activities department at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center for over 20 years.
She had been a foster parent in the area to many children over the years.
She raised and loved many poodles and Maltese puppies. She enjoyed cooking, baking, making rugs and playing the accordion and piano.
She is survived by four daughters, Susan Bax, Danbury, Wis., Mary Larson, Poplar, Kay (John) Mattson, Lake Nebagamon, Deborah (Jamie) Androsky, Poplar; four sons, Fred (Karen) Moller, Port North, Ala., Dan Moller, Poplar, David (Lynda) Moller, Hawthorne, Scott Moller, Rhinelander, Wis.; four sisters-in-law, June Brown, Nancy Sandoz, Lillian Berg and Jackie Peterson, 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 2011; and infant son, Christopher; three sisters, Dorothy Rodell, Fran Starstead and Ell Schold and two brothers, Bill and Curtis Peterson.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until the 12:30 p.m. funeral service on Friday, Jan. 18, at Peace Lutheran Church in Poplar, with Rev. Greg Gullicksrud, officiating.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hawthorne.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
