Anna D. Nelson, 97, Superior, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Anna D. Nelson, 97, Superior, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Feb. 10, 1915 in Superior to Napoleon and Octavia (Brooks) Rotsaert.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony Rug Ladies, a former member of the St. Anthony Church choir and a member of the Belgian Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by one daughter, Eileen E. Olson, Superior; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred L. Cronemiller in 1951; her second husband, Carl "Elmer" Mike Nelson in 1995; one daughter, Lorrane M. Lowry; six brothers and five sisters.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Mass on Friday, Jan. 18 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Superior with Rev. Fr. Leon Flaherty, as celebrant.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Anna's eight nieces will be recognized as honorary pallbearers, Sr. Ethylind Loudner, Diane Benson, Pat Berg, Mary Jo Tyler, Kathy Straetz, Mary Kay Olson, Marge Crabtree and Bev Kelly.

Should friends desire, memorial may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church in memory of Anna.

With deep sympathy to all of Ann's family and friends, please except my thoughts and prayers, and those of Nancy's. Ann and Elmer were dear friends of my Mom, and Dad ( Vivian and Pine Marello, and the best of neighbors to our entire family, those people and days of East 8th, and 27th Ave will always be in my heart,Thank you Ann, for those cherished memories, they will never be forgotten, Love Nan and Jerry
