Arlene Fern (Somerville) Byrnes

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, she spent many years curling with the Cairn Lassies as a member of the St. Paul Curling Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Fern Somerville.

She is survived by husband, Harry; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (“Bud”) and Nancy Somerville; sons, Brad (Sandy), Steve, Marty, and Rod; daughter, Sue; grandchildren, Nicole, Matt, Justin, Taylor, Lily, and Jack; dear friend, Carol, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 9947 Lyndale Ave., Bloomington. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at St. Edward’s Church, 9401 Nesbitt Ave., Bloomington, with visitation one hour prior at church. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, http://www.mnmasoniccharities.org.
