Alice Saaski, 85, Duluth, Minn., formerly of Iron River, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Alice Saaski, 85, Duluth, Minn., formerly of Iron River, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
She was born on Sept. 5, 1927, in Oulu, Wis. to Jacob and Hilja (Niemi) Saari.
Alice married Willard Saaski in 1945, and celebrated 67 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband Willard, Alice is survived by one son, Elric Saaski.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Vieno, Millie, Marie and Sylvia.
No services are being planned at this time.
Burial will be in the Iron River City Cemetery in the spring.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
