William A. (Bill) Girard, of Gordon, Wis. passed Nov. 12th at the St. Joseph Ministry in Marshfield, Wis.
William A. (Bill) Girard, of Gordon, Wis. passed Nov. 12th at the St. Joseph Ministry in Marshfield, Wis.
Born July 30, 1947, in Chicago, Ill. he lived in Holton, Whitehall and Muskegon Mich., before moving to Hayward, Wis. He graduated from Hayward High School in 1965, later serving his country in Germany and Viet Nam.
Bill was an auto body repairman until retiring in 2009.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, the Minnesota Vikings, garage sales, and spending time on his four wheeler with dog Kirby.
Bill was always there to help a friend and put himself last.
He is survived by wife Shirley; Wisconsin siblings; sisters; Rita Piper (Richard) of Chetek, Karen Espersen of Seeley, Patricia Girard and Faye (Teah) Melby of Hayward, Kate Kutzner (Jamie) of Big Bend, Susan Girard (Alan) of Pepin, brothers Gary (fiancee Lorraine Gouge), Tom (Renee) of Hayward, foster mom Gladys Golden of Spring Lake, Mich., Judy Burke (Art) of Fruitport, Mich., dog Kirby, cat Swen, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by parents William and Flavia (Quarderer), brothers Daniel and John, sister Roberta Schroeder, former wife Lynette Girard (Melby) and yellow labs Quigley and Chase.
He requested cremation with no services at the time of his death.
Brown Funeral Home of Solon Springs is in charge of arrangements.
