William (Bill, Billie, Willie) Sherman Ford

William S. Ford, 69, of Superior, formerly of Poplar and Apache Junction, Ariz., passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.

William S. Ford, 69, of Superior, formerly of Poplar and Apache Junction, Ariz., passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.

He was born Jan. 7, 1943 in Superior to William R. and Mary (Keaough) Ford. Bill was a graduate of East High School in Superior and he earned a degree in Mechanical Design from WITC, formerly known as Superior Vocational School.

He worked for Benson Electric in Superior for 28 years as a draftsman/estimator.

Bill is remembered as a guy with a great sense of humor. He was extremely handy and talented as he built the family home on Snooky Road in Poplar. He loved to listen to Country Western music, watch the History Channel and his favorite show was “The Price Is Right.” He enjoyed a good laugh with family and friends. Bill was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Ford.

He is survived by his two loving, devoted daughters, Angela Ford of Blaine, Minn. and Kelley (Terry) Williams of Superior; former wife and special friend, Judy Kay Ford of Poplar; brother, Richard (Julie) Ford of Superior and sisters, Mary (Leonard) Susmilch of Gold Canyon, Ariz. and Faith (Ernie) Pittsley of Iron River; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends; and his grandpups, Boo, Sugar and Stella and his grandcat, Banker.

At his request there will be no service. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Ford family on your loss. Bill will be missed, he had a good heart and a big smile for all. I hope your memories of good times will sustain you. There were many good times. My most recent memory is of Bill sitting in the sun at the cabin, just soaking in all the beauty. He was blessed with a great family.

Dear Bill's Family, I'm sorry for your loss. Bill was a quiet sort of guy, but very kind. He is now has been reunited with his family and friends who have gone before him. God Bless you all during these difficult days. May your faith sustain you and give you the comforting peace that you can only receive from our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
