Marie Malinowski, 105, lifelong Duluth/Superior area resident, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Heritage Haven Assisted Living in Duluth.
Marie Malinowski, 105, lifelong Duluth/Superior area resident, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Heritage Haven Assisted Living in Duluth.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1907 in Duluth to Martin and Stella (Walczynski) Chapinski.
Marie was a longtime member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Richard and Dennis Malinowski, both of Lake Nebagamon, Wis.; one grandson, Brad Malinowski; four granddaughters, Lisa Nichols, Kissimmee, Fla., Lori (Chris) Harding, Ft. Meyers, Fla., Samuelle "Sam" (Jordan Krumbine) Tucker, Winter Park, Fla. and Jolie Olson, Espania, Calif.; two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Perri and several nieces and nephews.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Frank; her parents; sisters Charlotte, Ceil and Lotti; brothers Stan, John, Hank and Alloy.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 8 at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 12 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Ronald Olson of Holy Assumption Catholic Church officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
