Margaret Ann "Mugs" Jordan, 88, of Superior, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Superior.

Margaret Ann "Mugs" Jordan, 88, of Superior, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Superior.

She was born June 1, 1924, in St. Paul, Minn., daughter of Edward and Anna (Hauglund) Whittier.

On Nov. 3, 1951, in Superior, Margaret A. Whittier and William M. Jordan were united in marriage.

Mugs worked many years as a clerk at both Roth Brothers and Northwest Outlet.

Margaret was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and Delta Sigma Sorority.

Some of her interests included golf, bowling, bridge, and cheering for the Packers and Chicago Cubs.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William in 2002; and brother, Jim.

Margaret is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by her sons, James (Katie) Jordan, Superior, and John (Ann) Jordan, Roscoe, Ill.; grandchildren, Laura (Dan) Marreel, Austin, Minn., Ryan (Bonnie) Jordan, Superior, Allison Jordan, Minneapolis, Minn., and Elizabeth Jordan, Roscoe, Ill.; five great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Waite, San Diego, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Diane Whittier, Corona Del Mar, Calif., and Mary Ruth Cigallio, Douglasville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday, Nov. 3, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Rev. Joel Certa-Werner officiating.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials in Margaret's name may be made to Cathedral School, Superior.
